ISO Accreditation

INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards regulatory bodies, with the responsibility of developing international standards criteria and Standards.  This is carried out through the various technical committees.

The IRIA Strategic Plan calls for implementation and subsequent accreditation to applicable ISO standards. The IRIA Advisory Board has directed that implementation of ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management Systems be the first order of business.

The IRIA Strategic Plan also calls for further future ISO standards alignment relating to:

  • Records Management
  • Risk Management- principles and guidelines

The strategic plan for the IRIA is full implementation of ISO standards in these and other critical operational areas.
